Swiss Hutless drivers Markus Niemela and Bas Lammers in Top 8
World Championship!
This years World Championship Formula A, held in Sarno (close to
Naples), was one of the strongest ever! Over a hundred kart
racers were participating. The Swiss Hutless drivers again were
fast and came close to victory. After the fantastic European
Formula A Championship, number 1 Bas Lammers was one of the
favourits. Bas Lammers seamed to be in great shape and so were
his chassis and engines. With the help of Swiss Hutless and the
fast and reliable engines of tuner Michel Blanken, the very
talented Lammers was on the pace. During the qualifying heats he
finished in the top 3. However being fast will not always bring
you the title, and that’s what happened. A small mistake in
the prefinal dropped Lammers back! In the final the furious
European Champ set the fastest laptime, which brought him from
27th to an 8th position. A few more laps
to go and Lammers could have won! More succes for Swiss Hutless
and Blanken Tuning bringin another Swiss Hutless driver in the
Top 10. Niemela finished fifth, just outside the podium. Having
two drivers in the Top 8 means a fine result for team Swiss
Hutless and Blanken Tuning.

really strong this year. Every European Championship race

The last round of the European Championship Formula A was held
in Mariembourg (Belgium). While last years race at the same
track became a big tragedy, this year Bas Lammers showed his
potential! Not only his capability as a driver, but also the
engines prepared by Michel Blanken were both fast and reliable!
Lammers entered Mariembourg with an safe difference and all he
had to do? Finishing ahead of his main rival Fore. And that’s
what the Swiss Hutless driver did! Altough he started from 23rd
Lammers catched up position by position, finally arriving at his
goal; Davide Fore. Both were involved in a hassle, but Lammers
finished ahead of rival. For this result the Dutch driver had
the European Championship in the pocket! Probably the most
happiest man in the paddock called Bas Lammers. Lammers, Swiss
Hutless his team and Blanken Tuning are the new European
Champions Formula A 2003!
